We asked the consultants which standard they consulted on, how many of their clients were registered to each standard, the three primary industries they consult in, the geographic regions primarily served and -- the most controversial question -- whether they guarantee registration. We weren't surprised when a number of registrars and consultants complained about this question. However, as long as a significant number of consultants make this guarantee, we will report on it. The other portion of this guide consists of a directory of ISO 9000, QS-9000 and ISO 14000 accredited registrars. It includes the company's name, contact name, address, phone and fax numbers, and Web address. All the information in this section was provided by the registrars. The registrar list begins immediately following this introduction.
