Product News: True UV-A LED Flashlight for NDT

Ideal for nondestructive testing applications

(Spectronics Corp.: Westbury, NY) -- Spectronics Corp. has unveiled the powerful  Spectroline OPTIMAX 365—a cordless, rechargeable true UV-A (365 nm) LED flashlight that is ideal for nondestructive testing applications such as MPI, FPI, and general fluorescent inspection.

The OPTIMAX 365 utilizes ultrahigh flux LED technology to produce a nominal steady-state UV-A intensity of 18,000 µW/cm2 at a distance of 15 inches (38 centimeters). Powered by a rechargeable NiMH battery, it provides 90 minutes of continuous use between charges. The LED lifetime is 30,000 hours.

The OPTIMAX 365 is extremely lightweight and compact, weighing just 11.8 oz (335 g). It’s ergonomically designed to provide ultimate comfort and freedom of movement during inspections. The flashlight has a corrosion-resistant anodized lamp body, which makes it perfect for industrial use in the field. Just the push of a button instantly turns the lamp on at full power.

The flashlight comes with UV-absorbing spectacles, a belt holster, and smart AC and DC battery chargers, all conveniently packed in a padded carrying case. The AC charger is available in 120 V, 230 V, 240 V, or 100 V versions.
