Thomas V. Fernandes, president and CEO of AirTronics Gage & Machine, has acquired Air Gage Co., a manufacturer of gaging systems.Fernandes reports that the acquisition won’t change the day-to-day operations of either company. “This move will allow us to concentrate on our core area of expertise, which is the application, design and installation of precision gaging systems,” Fernandes says. “Air Gage will continue to be a total solutions provider and will renew our commitment to total customer satisfaction. We intend to work with our customers on projects large and small, from initial project specification to final installation in conformance with product part approval process tool verification specifications.”
Air Gage, of Elgin, Illinois, is registered to ISO 9001 and operates an A2LA-accredited lab in its 60,000 sq. ft facility. The company celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.
“This acquisition affords Air Gage an excellent opportunity to continue our business growth and also allows us to fully realize our vision of being the leading provider of gaging solutions in North America, South America, Europe and Asia—including China through our joint venture, Air Xi,” Fernandes adds.
