DNV Certification and the Project Management Institute will launch the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3) ProductSuite Certification Program. PMI has nearly 220,000 members in more than 15 countries and is the leading trade group for the project management profession. The OPM3 certification program is designed to elevate the application of the OPM3 standard, and accepts experienced consultants and assessors who can pass an entrance exam on the OPM3 standard.

“Organizations that understand the vital importance of excelling at project management, and act upon it, will undoubtedly outperform the competition,” writes PriceWaterhouseCoopers in a study it performed of the profession.

DNV’s OPM3 certification program equips consultants with the latest in OPM3-based tools and methodology, allowing them to assess a company’s maturity compared to globally recognized best practices in project, program and portfolio management. It includes an entrance assessment, case-based training, a license to proprietary software tools and certification credentials. Certified professionals will be added to the official PMI Registry as well.
