Rose has been a corporate vice president at Cargill since 2004. In 1999, he was president of Sunny Fresh Foods when it became the first Cargill business and first food company ever to be honored with a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The egg-processing subsidiary (since renamed Cargill Kitchen Solutions) repeated the feat in 2005. A second Cargill business, Cargill Corn Milling North America, earned a Baldrige in 2008.
