Nicholas Dagalakis

Nicholas Dagalakis works in the Intelligent Systems Division at NIST. Currently, his research focus is on collaborative robots’ control and metrology instrumentation and for understanding the human injury mechanism inflicted by robots, using human tissue bio-simulant artifacts.

The RoboCrane—now hard at work at the Chernobyl and Fukushima nuclear cleanup sites—is a good example of a successfully commercialized technology invented at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). I’ll try to tell that story here…
