(SURVICE: Belcamp, MD) -- On June 24, 2011, the Susquehanna Workforce Network recognized Belcamp-based SURVICE Engineering Co. as the Harford County Business Winner of the 2011 Donald E. Thomey Workforce Leadership Award. The award was presented at the organization’s 28th annual meeting at the Bulle Rock facilities in Havre de Grace, Maryland.

SURVICE was selected based on its demonstrated commitment to innovative strategies that improve worker skills and workplace quality. Specific categories evaluated included the company’s career-ladder opportunities; its commitment to continuing education, staff development, and diversity; its practices to increase productivity and quality-of-life benefits and opportunities; and its commitment to improving the Susquehanna community.
The award, which included $1,000 for SURVICE to use for future workforce training at Harford Community College, was presented by Barney Michel, president of the Workforce Investment Board, and Dennis Golladay, Ph.D., president of Harford Community College. Accepting the award were SURVICE CEO Jim Foulk and president Jeff Foulk.
