George Rathbun, director of architecture in Pfizer’s Global Research and Development Informatics group, was recently named chief technology officer of SAFE-BioPharma Association. SAFE-BioPharma is the pharmaceutical-industry–sponsored organization that’s developing and managing a secure digital-signature standard for global use throughout the pharmaceutical and health care industries. Rathbun will oversee and administer all aspects of technology for SAFE-BioPharma.
“George Rathbun’s background at Pfizer, knowledge of SAFE, and his broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry make him the ideal person to lead SAFE’s technology development and implementation,” says Mollie Shields-Uehling, SAFE-BioPharma president and CEO.
