As a new member of the HIMSS Digital Health Consulting Partner (DHCP) program, Guidehouse will use HIMSS digital maturity models to assess healthcare organizations’ technology capabilities, implement tailored strategies and solutions, and work with organizations to reach a more advanced state of digital health adoption.
HIMSS digital maturity models have been used for over a decade in more than 7,000 healthcare facilities across the U.S. Guidehouse will use three HIMSS models as part of this initiative.
HIMSS Analytics Maturity Assessment Model (AMAM): This model, with a newly added AI governance and deployment component, supports advanced analytics literacy, robust data governance, and transparency in patient data management while enabling organizations to scale AI-driven insights for population health improvements.
HIMSS Community Care Outcomes Maturity Model (C-COMM): Designed for nonacute care organizations, this model emphasizes strategic access to care by improving health outcomes for specific population segments through proactive interventions and prevention strategies. Focused on value-based care, the C-COMM model fosters innovation and supports comprehensive digital health transformation in community-based care settings, ensuring more efficient, patient-centered delivery.
HIMSS Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Adoption Model (EMRAM): HIMSS’ flagship model evaluates the impact of EMR adoption on system performance and patient outcomes. Optimizing EMR use across organizations promotes operational efficiency, patient safety, care quality, and enhanced engagement.
“This engagement between Guidehouse and HIMSS is a pivotal step in equipping healthcare organizations with the tools and insights they need to achieve sustainable digital transformation,” says Tim Kinney, Guidehouse partner and payer/provider practice leader. “These models will help our clients assess their digital maturity, pinpoint opportunities for growth, and deliver measurable value to the communities they serve.”
“HIMSS’ maturity models offer a structured road map to help organizations bridge the gap between technology and care delivery,” says Reid Oakes, chief products officer of HIMSS. “By working with Guidehouse, we are scaling the impact of these tools to help healthcare organizations achieve their transformation goals, improve outcomes, and enhance systemwide efficiency.”
