This certification highlights AW-Lake’s commitment to sustainability, ecological responsibility, and continuous improvement.

The ISO 14001:2015 certification demonstrates AW-Lake’s dedication to identifying, monitoring, and managing the environmental aspects and impacts of its operations. This ensures that the company meets the needs and expectations of all stakeholders while continuously improving its processes.
“This certification process allowed us to focus on key environmental improvements such as upgrading to LED lighting, transitioning to energy-efficient oils, and incorporating UV water treatment technology,” says Rachel Haynes, AW-Lake mechanical engineer. “These initiatives, along with our ongoing environmental audits and performance tracking, ensure that sustainability remains central to our operations.”
AW-Lake evaluates the effectiveness of its EMS through monthly walk-throughs, management reviews, external and internal audits, environmental key performance indicators (KPIs), and corrective and preventative action logs.
The company’s commitment to environmental sustainability is further evident in various departmental initiatives. These include proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals, recycling programs, and the use of the correct waste streams.
