Founded in 1984, the CMS is a large membership of users, service providers, and OEM manufacturers of close-tolerance, industrial coordinate measurement technology. These metrology systems include inspection software, traditional CMMs, theodolites, GPS, laser projection systems, laser trackers, laser radar, photogrammetry/videogrammetry systems, scanning devices, and articulating arms.
The CMS is devoted to expanding and promoting the use of mobile metrology systems. The membership assembles each year at the Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC) to learn about the latest in-use advancements and new product developments in measurement software or systems that produce, utilize, and analyze three-dimensional coordinate data.
