(Renishaw: New Mills, UK) -- At Autosport 2012, scheduled for Jan. 12–15, 2012, in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Renishaw will be showcasing its latest metrology products that increase inspection throughput, as well as its range of additive manufacturing machines that allow metal parts to be “designed today, built tomorrow.”

In hall 20, stand 302, visitors will be introduced to the Equator, which rapidly collects thousands of data points that can be used for the comparative measurement of high-volume manufactured parts. Replacing manual measurement with an automated Equator gauging system can greatly increase throughput and reduce scrap rates, at a fraction of the cost of an equivalent custom gauging system.
