(Geomagic: Research Triangle Park, NC) -- Geomagic has announced that its 3-D reverse engineering and inspection software products have been updated to enable new features and support additional languages.

With the release of Version 12, Service Release 1, Geomagic Studio, Geomagic Qualify, and Geomagic Wrap have been updated to support users who speak Portuguese, Czech, and Russian. This is in addition to the wide range of languages previously supported (English, German, French, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish) by Geomagic software. Version 12 SR1 also includes advanced support of 3-D mouse functions for improved 3-D navigation and support for import of Vialux scan data.

Other updates to Geomagic products in Version 12 SR1 include:

• Additional user interface tools that allow easier customization of options for users and new right-mouse-button functionality

• The ability to create reports in PowerPoint formats from Geomagic Qualify

• Improved profile editing, free-form parameterization, and fitting of lofted surfaces in parametric surfacing for Geomagic Studio

• Support for FARO plug-ins on Windows 7 platforms
