The Mahr Group recently acquired Helios Messtechnik GmbH & Co., a German provider of noncontact and contact shaft measurement, and precision gages. The acquisition creates a new corporation, Mahr Helios Messtechnik GmbH & Co. KG, and will allow the Mahr Group to enhance its existing product offerings in horizontal length-measurement devices. It will also extend the company’s research and development operations.

Helios Messtechnik has a workforce of 75 employees and is located in northern Germany. The Mahr Group has about 1,500 employees worldwide.
