(Nikon Metrology: Brighton, MI) -- For more than a decade, Nikon Metrology pioneered laser scanning and gradually sharpened the capabilities of this noncontact measuring technology. Nikon’s optics, combined with innovative 3-D laser scanning technology, has resulted in a new scanner, the LC15Dx. The LC15Dx digital laser scanner brings laser scanning in the accuracy range of tactile inspection. The LC15Dx is a viable alternative to a tactile probe for an increasing number of high-precision coordinate measuring machine (CMM) applications, including molds, small turbine blades, medical devices, and other complex geometry.
