(Exact Metrology: Cincinnati) -- The new Artec MHT 3D Scanner from Exact Metrology is capable of capturing surface color and texture information in addition to the 3-D geometry of the scanned object. These enhanced capabilities make the MHT 3D Scanner ideal for a variety of applications including computer graphics and animation, archival, prototyping, and more.
The Artec MHT 3D Scanner captures a brilliant spectrum of colors up to 24 bits per pixel (bpp). Capturing color information of the object’s shape and its geometry results in fine-textured models, which can then be opened and post-processed by a number of 3-D software packages. Exact Metrology offers the complete MHT systems including hardware, software, and training.

“With the new color and texture scanning capabilities, the Artec MHT is unlike any 3-D scanner at this price point,” says Steve Young, principal at Exact Metrology. “By capturing highly detailed, color 3-D models of people and objects, the MHT 3D Scanner allows users to quickly and accurately create 3-D representations of their world.”
