CALYPSO 5.0 further improves measuring efficiency, whether it's generating measuring plans for contact or optical measurements, or documenting and preparing the measuring results.

Importing metadata as a feature directly from 3-D CAD systems has been improved in CALYPSO 5.0. It is now possible to generate measurement plans from 3-D models up to 60-percent faster. The CAD metadata (PMI), in the form of dimensions and tolerances, text comment, and data on surface quality and material specifications can be accepted with a high degree of accuracy. The Siemens NX (UG), CATIA V5, and ProE CAD systems, as well as the new, open-CAD format JTOpen, are all supported in CALYPSO 5.0. A 3-D computer mouse increases the efficiency of off-line programming.
