(Baumer: Southington, CT) -- For high speed distance and position measuring, Baumer has introduced the new FADK 14 Pulsed Red LED Sensor that offers resolutions of 0.1 mm to 1 mm at a sensing range of 50 mm to 400 mm.

The cost effective FADK 14 Sensors deliver highly accurate measurements regardless of the substrate material or the color of the target object, and measurement accuracy is not affected by strong ambient light up to 25 kLux. Ideal for highly dynamic applications, these sensors can be used in a range of industrial applications including packaging, material handling, printing/graphics, food and beverage processing, laboratory automation, electronics fabrication, and metalworking.

Baumer compact FADK 14 Sensors require a small mounting area for limited space applications. They are designed with a transparent rear housing that allows operating and reception LEDs to be viewed from practically any angle, simplifying installation and operation. These sensors are available in current or voltage output versions and feature an integrated alarm output.
