(CMSC: Reno, Nevada) -- The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS), the preeminent membership association for measurement professionals, recently announced it will present the 26th Annual Coordinate Metrology Systems Conference (CMSC) July 12–16 at the world-class Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. This five-day event is the only North American conference that caters solely to professionals using portable 3-D coordinate measurement technology on manufacturing factory floors and in science laboratories. Attendees include quality professionals (both expert and novice), metrologists, manufacturing executives, scientists, students, teachers, and more.

The CMSC is well known for its expert white paper presentations covering diverse metrology topics. The conference also features well-attended workshops, standards seminars, user group meetings, and networking events held in a highly professional venue where ideas, concepts, and theory flow freely amongst participants. Once again, the 2010 CMSC’s exhibitor hall will overflow with companies showcasing portable measurement systems (PCMMs), software, accessories, peripherals, and inspection and measurement services catering to the needs of the industrial measurement marketplace. Call for papers continues until April 16
The Coordinate Measurement Society continues their call for papers for the 2010 CMSC. Abstracts should be submitted via e-mail to presentations@cmsc.org no later than April 16. Expert end users of portable metrology equipment are invited to submit proposals for white papers covering the successful application of 3-D coordinate measurement systems in a variety of industries and science laboratories. Notice of acceptance will occur on May 7.
