Renishaw’s calibration products division recently started offering users of its ML10 laser calibration system complimentary upgrades to the latest version of the company’s Laser 10 software package.
The ML10 laser interferometer system is widely used by OEMs and end users in research, design, manufacturing and maintenance applications ranging from machine tools, coordinate measuring machines, motion control and aerospace manufacturing, among others. The earliest models of the system are now 17 years old.
“Mechanically, the systems can still operate just fine,” says Clive Warren, calibration products business manager. “But user software can be generations old. We get calls from customers who want to move up to the latest and greatest PCs, but find the original software is incompatible. We’re offering the free software to minimize customers’ problems, let them access the advantages of Windows operating systems, and streamline our support for users with obsolete software.”
The offer is available until December. Renishaw Inc. is on the Web at www.renishaw.com.
