(The L.S. Starrett Co.: Athol, MA) -- The L.S. Starrett Co. announced that in addition to exhibiting at various trade shows, it will host its first virtual exhibition in September 2014.

“Traditional tradeshows have limitations,” says Hardy Hamann, vice president of marketing and business development for Starrett. “We concluded that many attendees use shows to collect material for a team at their home office to collectively make the buying decision. To that end, we decided to develop our virtual exhibition enabling the entire buying team to view what our products can do for them. A virtual hostess will guide the visitor to the best solution. Videos combined with live-chat and download capabilities will make it easy to gain an overview of Starrett’s latest solutions and to schedule a one-on-one consultation at the client’s place of business as a follow-up.
“As an extra incentive, visitors can win two tickets (including hotel and travel) to a premier U.S. sporting event,” adds Hamann.
The virtual exhibit will be open Sept 8–26, 2014, which makes it easy for people to do research at their leisure without ever leaving the office.
