Where do you find this extra vitality and vigor? How do you determine whether someone or something is lacking vitality and vigor? What exactly is the process for putting vitality and vigor into someone or something?
If the “something” is your life, including projects at work and home, you can apply the “Five Rs” to answer those questions.
Reevaluate. Are you working on a project with effort best described as lackluster? Don’t beat yourself up about it. There may be outside circumstances affecting your motivation. Think about the reasons you started the project. Do you feel it’s worth completing? If not, then allow yourself to toss the project and move on.
Retool. How do you feel when you don’t have the tools you need to accomplish a task? Perhaps the complete opposite of invigorated. That’s how your project team members can feel when the task and deliverables are clearly defined, but there aren’t any tools to reach the objective.
