When I was a little boy we flew to Hawaii to visit my sister. I remember the excitement of getting on the plane and sitting by the window. I didn’t want to miss anything on this, my first flight. We took off from San Francisco International and climbed into the clouds. Once we were through into the sunlight, it was amazing. Bright sun and a carpet of fluffy white clouds. When the clouds cleared beneath us, the ocean seemed to go on forever.

I’ve done a fair amount of flying since then, and while I’m not one of those multi-million-mile frequent fliers, I’m comfortably into six figures.
