The summit has become the premier event for industry professionals concerned with interoperability issues that continue to challenge digital product data exchange. The event is held at no cost to industry professionals and supply-chain partners in aerospace, automotive, shipbuilding, and academia. At the conclusion of last year’s event, the organizers resolved to establish a formal mission to promote awareness, address tactical challenges, advance industry solutions, and leverage open standards for product data interoperability—with a charter to drive common standards adoption in the global aerospace and automotive industries.
“Everyone shares a product data strategy of providing the right data to the right user at the right time in a cost-effective, managed way,” says Russ Benson, senior director of information technology and engineering systems at Boeing.
