The American Society for Quality will offer courses examining quality management and improvement for people working in the service industry. ASQ has offered courses for service industry professionals in the past, but the focus was on applying quality tools and processes commonly used in the manufacturing industry. The new courses, which start March 17, are tailored specifically for the service industry.
There will be three courses: Quality Methods for the Service Industry, which will provide an overview of service industry quality tools; The Case for Quality: Taking It to Management, which will demonstrate how to secure management support for quality efforts; and Best Practices in Service Quality Management, which blends three important aspects of quality: tools and techniques, measurement of customer-perceived quality, and quality improvement and customer retention.
