The National Quality Institute will present the Canada Awards for Excellence on Oct. 20 in Toronto. The event will include a Performance Excellence Summit during the day and the awards will be presented at a gala dinner in the evening. Paul Martin, Canada’s prime minister, will deliver the keynote address and present the awards. The summit will feature several breakout sessions, with topics such as process mapping, performance excellence in the service sector and corporate social responsibility, along with a luncheon keynote address by James K. Gray, Brascan Corp. corporate director. NQI certification will be available for delegates participating in the process mapping sessions.
The event will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The National Quality Institute is an independent, not-for-profit organization. It plays a major role in Canada on workplace excellence based on quality systems and healthy workplace criteria.
