The Association for Operations Management (APICS) recently recognized several organizations for supply chain efficiencies, innovation and other notable successes. APICS annually recognizes successful organizations with its Corporate Awards of Excellence. The 2005 recipients are:

• Engenio Information Technologies Inc. of Wichita, Kansas (Education Award of Excellence)
• Global eProcure of Clark, New Jersey (Innovation Award of Excellence)
• Owens Corning of Toledo, Ohio; and Metreo Inc. of Palo Alto, California (Technology Partnership Award of Excellence)

The runners-up were Roush and Yates Racing Engines LLC, of Mooresville, North Carolina; GAINSystems Inc. of Oak Brook, Illinois; and Husqevarna Turf Care of Beatrice, Nebraska and Pelion Systems Inc., of Boulder Colorado.
