Ipanema Technologies has launched a universal indicator of application performance over a wireless area network, Application Quality Score.

AQS is a universal indicator that can be applied to all types of applications, data-transfer such as back-up, interactive such as Citrix or real-time such as video streaming. It can be aggregated over time for different links and for an entire network.

“By creating the AQS, Ipanema further closes the gap between network performance management and application performance management,” says Frank Lyonnet, Ipanema’s director of product management.

The system is simple, automated, scalable and unique in guaranteeing critical application performance regardless of network conditions.
