(SAS: Cary, North Carolina) -- Lisa Flint Dodson has been named president of the International Association for Information and Data Quality. Data integration product manager for SAS, a provider of business intelligence and analytical software and services, and a charter member of IAIDQ, Dodson will serve a two-year term leading the effort to establish the organization’s mission and vision, bylaws, code of conduct, and other governance mechanisms. She’ll also drive coordinated efforts to codify a body of knowledge for information quality and develop communities of practitioners. Before joining SAS, Dodson served in several positions for DataFlux, a SAS subsidiary that specializes in data quality and data integration solutions.
Dodson is spearheading preparations for the 2007 Information and Data Quality Conference, which will be held Sept. 24–27 in Las Vegas. The conference annually gathers the worldwide information and data quality community, with a commitment to offering practical solutions to routine and complex information quality challenges. The conference is currently accepting speaking proposals.
