The Corporation for Manufacturing Excellence (Manex) recently received an award from the National Institute of Standards and Technology for its service to the manufacturing sector’s effort to enhance competitiveness.Selected from more than 1,500 applicants, Manex was honored at the 2006 NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership Conference, which was held in Orlando in May. Manex provides advisory and implementation solutions such as lean and Six Sigma to manufacturers and distributors and to their supply chains, with the goal of increasing growth, productivity, quality and profitability.
“Manex’s high-impact and high-value contributions are a testament not only to the power of teamwork but of a unified vision and dedicated effort to drive performance of their manufacturing clients and of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership system as a whole,” says Roger Kilmer, director of the NIST MEP.
