(AMT: McLean, VA) -- The U.S. manufacturing technology consumption for February 2010 totaled $163.96 million, according to the Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association (AMTDA). This total, as reported by companies participating in the U.S. Manufacturing Technology Consumption (USMTC) program, is up 28.8 percent from January and up 22.1 percent from February 2009’s reported total of $134.34 million. With the 2010 year-to-date total of $291.27 million, consumption is up 22.3 percent compared with 2009.
