The Baldrige National Quality Program has released a new case study used to prepare 2005 Baldrige Award examiners. The case study of Landmark Dining Inc. involves a fictitious steak and seafood restaurant and illustrates a theoretical Baldrige Award candidate in the small business category. It also serves as a useful example for organizations that might apply to the Baldrige program.
The Landmark Dining case study provides responses for each of the 19 application items, which comprise 33 separate areas of interest. It was written by Jackie Beede, Laura Huston, Bruce R. Beede, Jon F. Gray, Henry W. Grimmick, Barry C. Johnson, Carol A. Knight-Wallace, Geri A. Markley and Rebecca Winters.
The Baldrige National Quality Program also has case studies available in the education, manufacturing and health care categories. For more information, visit www.baldrige.nist.gov.
