Thailand’s Public Service Management Quality Award (PMQA), modeled on the Singapore Quality Award, will be presented for the first time next year. The PMQA’s seven criteria are those of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award—leadership, strategy development and deployment planning, information management, human resources planning and development, working processes, customer management and performance results.
The Office of the Public Sector Development Commission set up the new award, which is designed to encourage government agencies to meet international standards.
Once chosen, the PMQA judges will be trained by the Thailand Productivity Institute.
