National Quality Assurance USA recently received approval from the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board to start offering accredited AS9110 certifications.
Published in 2003, AS9110 includes specific, critical requirements for the maintenance of commercial, private and military aircraft. It defines the quality system requirements based on AS9100:2000, with additional criteria for maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities that serve the aircraft industry, including thousands of FAA 145-certified repair stations. NQA is one of only a handful of registrars to offer ANAB accreditation to the full family of aerospace standards, AS9100, AS9120, AS9110 and AS9003.“AS9100 certification allows us to provide the MRO community, a vital subcontractor segment of the aerospace industry, with registration to a standard tailored specifically to their business,” says Robert Parsons, NQA’s aerospace business unit director. “This approval further demonstrates NQA’s leadership in the aerospace industry and dedication to support all levels of the aerospace supply chain.”
