Food Technology Corp., a supplier of food-texture measurement systems, and Mecmesin, a European supplier of quality testing solutions, have formed an alliance to jointly provide their offerings to the food industry. The companies will combine FTC’s TMS-Pro food-texture measurement system with Mecmesin’s MultiTest-x range of console-controlled test systems to serve cost-conscious food producers. TMS-Pro is designed for demanding research-and-development applications, while the MultiTest-x makes food-packaging testing more flexible. Both systems use uniaxial travel to apply mechanical force to samples, which are manipulated through the use of an ever-expanding range of probes and accessories that allow users to replicate almost any handling condition.
“This exciting partnership brings together a highly diversified skill set that positions both companies for dramatic growth and profitability,” says Shirl Lakeway, FTC managing director. “Together, we share an uncompromising commitment to high-quality instrumentation, innovative design and customer satisfaction.”
