The Ice Cream Maker: an Inspiring Tale About Making Quality the Key Ingredient in Everything You Do (Currency, 2005), by Subir Chowdhury, was recently recognized by the U.S. Congress for its groundbreaking approach to quality management.The book has been distributed to all members of Congress and has received a lot of praise. Chowdhury says he was thrilled to be invited to the Congress, and that he planned to meet with as many Congressional delegates as he could. A reception in his honor was held on March 16 on Capitol Hill.

“I want to make them sit up and realize that they have the key to convincing all Americans that quality is everyone’s business,” says Chowdhury.

Chowdhury is a top management and quality strategist. He’s the chairman and CEO of ASI Consulting Group. He has also authored The Power of Six Sigma (Kaplan Business, 2001) and Organization 21C: Someday All Organizations Will Lead This Way (Financial Times Prentice Hall, 2002).
