RABQSA recently reported a partnership with the Australian government and other stakeholders to develop a certification scheme for disability-services auditing personnel. The organization expects to release the scheme this spring. The scheme’s been designed to ensure that auditing personnel, including consumer technical experts, have the appropriate competencies to deliver effective audits for disability employment services. The scheme includes two competency modules: RABQSA-DS Auditing Management Systems and RABQSA-CTE Consumer Technical Expert. Other competencies required for the new scheme are RABQSA-AU Management Systems Auditing and RABQSA-TL Leading Management Systems Audit Teams.

Australia’s Department of Family and Community Services will require all its audit personnel responsible for disability employment services to be certified to the new scheme, starting in June 2007.
