TÜV America’s Product Safety Division has been recently renamed as Product Safety Services. Formerly known as Machinery, Information Technology and Consumer Products, the department will continue to provide electrical and mechanical safety evaluations for products in the United States (NRTL), Canada (SCC), and European certification (GS), in addition to CB Scheme and CCC Mark. Other services extend to SEMI, field evaluations and training. TÜV America also plans to add new services later this year.

“TÜV America is committed to being the inspection, testing and certification organization of choice for all companies seeking safety-related services in North and South America,” says Ulf Schmidt, PSS product director. “Armed with a more suitable identity and ever-growing service offerings, we will expound upon this commitment in 2005.”
