(TÜV SÜD: Danvers, Massachusetts) -- TÜV SÜD America Inc., a testing and certification services firm, has been approved by the Radio Research Laboratory (RRL) in Korea to test and apply the Korean Ministry of Information and Communications Mark for various standards related to emissions and immunity. This accreditation enables TÜV SÜD America to provide information technology testing to eight Korean electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards, in addition to the numerous standards to which it currently tests. The RRL is a division of Korea’s Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) and issues EMC certifications and telecom authorizations for IT equipment in Korea. Currently, the RRL mandates that these products must display the MIC Mark to be imported or sold in South Korea.
“Many organizations are seeking effective ways to enter different global markets,” says Steve Dykstra, vice president of testing. “TÜV SÜD America is constantly pursuing ways to provide added value to our customers and we are pleased to be able to offer these additional testing schemes to expedite the process of Korean approval.”
