e-TQM College and the University of California at Berkeley’s Management of Technology new joint program will include staff exchanges, mentorship and executive education in total quality management.

The Leadership Excellence and Advancement Program, started with $500,000 from e-TQM College in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and will comprise combined work in publications, measuring student performance and research.

The program will define TQM to include process improvement, quality improvement and operational effectiveness. Its executive education—to be offered to executives throughout the Arab world—will include topics such as strategy and leadership.

The program begins this fall when MOT assists e-TQM in evaluating engineers who are taking their first master’s-level management course.
