Teams from the private and public sectors that focus on cost savings, product development, innovation and process improvement to support their organization’s mission will have a chance to compete at the 2005 Western Regional Teams Live Competition in November.The event, sponsored by the California Council for Excellence and the American Society for Quality, will be held over three days in California: Nov. 8 at National University in Sacramento, Nov. 15 at Eastern Municipal Water District in Perris/Riverside, and Nov. 17 at The Boeing Co.’s Douglas Center in Long Beach.

Previous winners include teams from Grundfos Pumps Corp., The Boeing Co., Tri-City Medical Center, National University, Hoag Hospital, the California Department of Financial Institutions and CAL EPA.

The California Council for Excellence is a nonprofit organization that administers the California Baldrige Award program and the California Team Excellence Awards program.
