Dauch, co-founder, chairman, and CEO of American Axle & Manufacturing, received the American Society for Quality, Automotive Division, 2007 Quality Leader of the Year Award in recognition of his long-time leadership, commitment, and contributions to quality in the automotive manufacturing industry. The award was presented during the ASQ Automotive Division 2007 Award event held at the General Motors Heritage Center in Sterling Heights, Michigan.

The Quality Leader of the Year Award recognizes individuals who have successfully demonstrated a clear vision, customer-focused, quality philosophy. The Quality Leader Award recipient’s vision includes making quality a global priority, an organizational imperative, and a personal ethic.

“I am truly honored to accept this award, on behalf of all the men and women I have been fortunate to work with during my 43-year career in the automotive manufacturing industry,” said Dauch, in accepting the award from Carol Malone, from Macomb Community College.
