Tom Johnstone, president and CEO of SKF, recently received the Six Sigma Premier Leader Award from the International Society of Six Sigma Professionals.
Johnstone is the first corporate leader in Europe to receive the prestigious award. It was presented during the ISSSP’s 6th annual Six Sigma Summit in Amsterdam by Roxanne O’Brasky, ISSSP president. She cited Johnstone’s long-term commitment to SKF’s continuous improvement and business achievements as main drivers of Johnstone’s winning of the award.“The leadership of Tom Johnstone is central to the success at SKF,” she says. “The SKF example shows that companies can use Six Sigma to benefit their shareholders and employees, as well as the environment and the communities in which they operate. SKF sets a strong example for Europe and the world.”
