Metaldyne recently announced the appointment of Steve Dickerson as its vice president for quality, Six Sigma and process.
Dickerson will lead the company’s Six Sigma and other quality improvement techniques. He will also work with his counterparts at Metaldyne’s parent company, Asahi Tech Co., to support synergies in the areas of safety, quality, product launch and life cycles, material procurement and logistics.Dickerson joined Metaldyne in 2004 as vice president and general manager of North American Forgings. Most recently, he served as interim vice president for quality, Six Sigma and process. Dickerson has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from General Motors Institute and a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
“I am pleased to have Steve in this role,” says Tom Chambers, Metaldyne’s chief operating officer. “He has a strong background in program and process management and is an excellent leader.”
