Rath & Strong and Motorola University recently announced they’re teaming up to offer Six Sigma training and consulting to clients around the world. The relationship between the companies goes back almost 30 years, when Motorola hired Rath & Strong to teach its executives and engineers key concepts of statistical engineering and lean manufacturing. Since then, they have become world leaders on Six Sigma deployment.
Both companies report they expect the alliance to be beneficial. “Since the inception of Six Sigma at Motorola, Motorola University and Rath & Strong have collaborated in a variety of ways to advance the Six Sigma methodology,” says Tom McCarty, vice president of Motorola University Consulting Services. “It is appropriate that we recognize our longstanding partnership in a formal alliance agreement.”
