(JMP: Cary, North Carolina) -- SAS, a provider of business intelligence and advanced analytics, has closed an agreement with publishing group W.H. Freeman to bundle JMP Student Edition, a streamlined version of its JMP statistical discovery software, with leading statistics textbooks sold through college bookstores. By selecting textbooks that bundle JMP Student Edition, professors enable students to install a personal copy of the software that will help them learn statistics.
JMP Student Edition contains all the statistics covered in first-year and intermediate college statistics courses. “It’s a visual and interactive application that offers an intuitive interface that mirrors the applied real-world approach of modern courses,” says Curt Hinrichs, JMP academic program manager. “JMP Student Edition offers all the capabilities an elementary or intermediate student needs, without the higher price or advanced features of our full corporate and academic versions of JMP.”
“Software and online resources are popular learning tools demanded by professors, authors and students alike. JMP Student Edition offers the opportunity to complement some of our most popular statistics titles with learning by doing,” says Craig Bleyer, W.H. Freeman senior publisher for economics, math, statistics, and physical sciences.
