(ISO: Geneva) -- The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is undertaking a review of the ISO 9000 family of documents with a specific focus on ISO 9001:2008—“Quality management systems—Requirements” to ensure its relevance for the future. Toward that end, ISO Technical Committee 176 (ISO/TC176)—“Quality Management and Quality Assurance,” has put together a user survey to collect feedback for developing the next edition of ISO 9001. Feedback from as wide a range as possible of both current and potential users is vitally important to this process. Input is also sought from users and potential users of sector-specific standards that are based on ISO 9001. In addition, consultants, students, and academia are welcome to provide their input to this survey.

The survey questionnaire is now available online, in 11 languages, here. It will be open for completion from October 2010 until January 2011.
