ISO 9001 Revision Moves Forward

Working toward second committee draft, revised project timeline, and new publication date

(ISO: Geneva) -- Working Group 29 convened its seventh meeting, held remotely via Zoom on Sept. 26 and 27, 2024, to continue with the disposition of remaining comments received on the ISO 9001 committee draft. During the two days, 56 members took part in the meeting, representing 31 national standards bodies and five liaisons.

The revised project timeline was presented. The standard development track has been extended to 36 months to include the second committee draft stage. The publication of the revised ISO 9001 is now planned for September 2026.

The next WG 29 meetings will be held in November and December to finalize the content of the second committee draft.
