Pulte Homes Inc.’s Nevada Area division recently announced its registration to ISO 9001. The homebuilder retained Construction Quality Alliance Partners to consult on implementing ISO-compliant quality processes. Pulte Homes Nevada Area has its headquarters in Las Vegas and builds in most municipal areas in southern Nevada. In 2005, Pulte Homes received the most awards in the J.D. Power and Associates New Home-Builder Customer Satisfaction Study. The ISO 9001 auditing and registration process was conducted by AQA International.
“Implementing the ISO 9001:2000 standard was a challenge,” says Robert Sprague, Pulte Homes’ Nevada QA/ISO, safety and EFL manager. “We are extremely proud of this accomplishment—our industry as a whole is just beginning to catch up in terms of standardization compared to other major manufacturing industries, and we are pleased to lead the charge in standardized quality control.”
