RABQSA International Inc. recently announced the formation of an accreditation scheme for auditors that conduct audits using standards that pertain to heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses.

The Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (HVA) auditor certification scheme was developed by RABQSA’s HVA auditor subscheme committee. It became available for certification on Dec. 1, and relates to auditors working in Australia.

“We’re moving from an uncoordinated, mixed bag of auditor competencies and duplicated paperwork to a one-stop-shop for all three schemes,” says Nick Dimopoulos, National Transport Commission CEO. “This will be achieved by introducing auditor qualifications, aligning audit dates and using a common reporting format. It will raise the level of professionalism in our industry.”
